IFR 1’s Participation in the OSJD Meeting, 2026
In March 2026, the regular session of the Organization for Co-operation between Railways (OSJD) was held in Sochi. IFR‑1 LLC was represented by its CEO, Maksim Gennadievich Murashko.
Participants interacted within bilateral, trilateral, and expanded subgroups. This format enables a detailed examination of issues to foster further mutually beneficial cooperation among railway companies.
The agreements reached provide a balanced foundation for fulfilling the planned freight volumes under the most favourable transportation conditions. They also ensure the continuation of international cooperation among the meeting participants throughout 2026 — a development that will enhance companies’ profitability and contribute to the socio‑economic growth of Eurasian countries.
Key outcomes for IFR‑1 LLC include:
- Freight volumes via the Nizhneleninskoye railway border crossing point for 2026 have been agreed upon.
- The Chinese side has approved an increase in container traffic via the Nizhneleninskoye railway border crossing point.
- A request has been submitted to the Chinese side to approve the transportation of hazardous goods from the Russian Federation to China via 1,435 mm gauge using tank wagons and tank containers.
- Transportation of iron ore in innovative wagons with a 75‑tonne load capacity has been agreed upon.
- Acceptance of trains up to 71 standard wagons in length has been agreed upon starting from October 2026.
- The Chinese side has confirmed its readiness to begin loading containers into open wagons.
